For staters: Experience.
I put away the text book a long time ago.
It's safe to say... and I know just about everyone involved
in the concert booking process... that if an act has been
playing regular gigs in the last 20 years, I've probably booked
them somewhere. And I've booked them into innumerable facilities
in many major markets in the Southwestern United States. Many
acts, booked many times, in many different places
With that hard-earned experience, relationships within the
industry become a natural occurrence. In a very small industry,
your reputation and relationships are what keep you functioning
- something I have been doing over twenty years. No amount
of fast-talking and tap dancing can replace experience and
relationships in the concert business.
And here's the good part. I do my job for the right price.
You will see the contract for the talent you purchased, when
I work for you.
Especially in the world of private parties, "the gouge" is
the name of the game from most party planners. Their goal
is to optimize profits, and who can blame them for that? But
my goal is to serve the client, at a decent market price.
Party planners cringe at the sight of a businessman like
me. Unlike them, I'm not afraid to show my client the artist's
negotiated contract, because I haven't marked up the cost
of a booking by 20-50% or more.
So... I work for you, my client. I do it with integrity,
and with unabashed confidence.
You give me a budget and a direction, and I will offer you
great talent. It's that simple.
And my fee is simple, and understandable. I earn 10% of the
artist's fee. The contract I negotiate on your behalf, is
yours.
Enough said. The proof of my success and longevity is in
my experience, and the extensive relationships I have nurtured
over many years in the concert industry. And moreover, in
the integrity of the service I provide.
